An enzyme free glucose sensor was prepared by molecular imprinting method.

Polyvinyl acetate/GO–Cu nanocomposite is synthesized by a novel method.

The composite was imprinted with glucose and used as glucose sensing electrode.

The sensor showed linear range from 0.55 to 4.4 mM and detection limit was 53 渭M.

The advantages are low detection time, high sensitivity, and low cost fabrication.
