The effect of body size on thermal tolerance was tested in sister species of gobies, intraspecifically and interspecifically. Similar age but different size gobies were acclimated for a year in common garden conditions. Temperature tolerance was negatively correlated with body size. Smaller fishes may be more resilient during extreme heat events.
