GN stimulated the phosphorylation of AMPK, ACC and SREBP1c in HepG2 cells. GN downregulated lipogenesis genes and upregulated fatty acid oxidation genes. GN inhibited LXR or PA-induced lipogenesis and TG accumulation in HepG2 cells. GN inhibited hepatic steatosis in HFD obese mice.
