Sodium Alginate capped AgNPs (SA@AgNPs) synthesized using microwave irradiation. The formation of silver nanoparticles was characterized using UV-spectroscopy, XRD, FTIR and SEM. Cotton fabrics treated with SA@AgNPs and tested against nosocomial pathogens. This study showed potent antibacterial activity against Gram positive and negative bacteria.
