CAT and GPx expression and activity are temporally altered in the aging hippocampus. Aging increases GSH and reduces LPO levels in the in the same brain area. Aging abolishes circadian rhythms of the core clock BMAL1 protein in the hippocampus. Temporal patterns of locomotor activity are disrupted in the aged rats.
