Graphite oxide sheets were functionalized by polyisoprene in a two steps procedure. The polyisoprene chains were grafted onto functionalized GO sheets by the grafting through technique. A polyisoprene weight content of 50% was calculated from TGA measurements. A decrease of the air permeability coefficient of 27% for the vulcanized PI composites has been reached.
