The structures of six new C₂₀ quassinoids and one new C₁₉ quassinoid, all isolated from the twigs and thorns of Castela polyandra, were established by a combination of spectroscopic and single-crystal X-ray analysis. Five known quassinoids and one known sterol were also identified.
