New reduction method for preparation of fullerene coordination complexes is developed. Complexes Ni(Me3P)3(η2-C60) and Ni(Me3P)3(η2-C70) are obtained. They show close packing of fullerene cages in a crystal and relatively low lying excited ionic states.
