We obtained symmetrical N-acylsubstituted dihydrazones containing bithiophene core.
We analyze the influence of dihydrazones structure on their physical properties.
They exhibited low electrochemically estimated energy gap (1.72–2.00 eV).
The photovoltaic properties of two bithiophene derivatives as active layer in organic solar cells were studied.
