The degree of flammability (Findex) was used to evaluate the flame retardancy. CeO2 presented excellent synergism on the flame retardant and reduction of heat release rate. The flame retardant mechanism researches showed that CeO2 increased the higher graphitization degree and formed more connected structures by P and O.
