O-isopropyl-S-[2-(hydroxyimino) propyl] dithiocarbonate ester used as a collector. IPXPO exhibited good flotation performances to chalcopyrite at pH 4–9. Chalcopyrite adsorbing IPXPO is a spontaneously endothermic chemisorption. CuS, CuN and CuO bonds are formed in IPXPOCu surface complexes. IPXPO owned double chelating groups and characteristic adsorption manner.
