Neuroimaging is an important tool in the diagnosis of tumors of the central nervous system. The aim of this work is to review basic concepts of different neuroimaging techniques, generate a neuroimaging protocol, and make recommendations for the conduct of the studies, to better diagnose and monitor patients with brain tumors. Ultimately, our work could be used as a guide to study and monitor central nervous system tumor patients.
This work is aimed at clinical neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuro-oncologists, neuroradiologists, and neuroimaging technicians.
