Performance of collector–storage wall using PCM was experimentally studied.

PCM surface temperature rises steep–slow–steep successively during charge.

After sharp drops, PCM surface temperature decreases slightly during discharge.

Temperatures of gap air, glazing and room vary with PCM surface temperature.

Air flow rate and heating rate fluctuate during charge but go steady after discharge.
