Rock magnetism is applied to PPNB baked clay in Terra Rossa on Kfar HaHoresh site.
In contrast to soil, baked clay has enhanced χLF, Js alongside lessened χFD and Bc.
Mainly SD particles of hematite-magnetite formed during clay firing in air at ca. 800–850 °C
Fe(III)-clay as a likely raw material underwent structural alterations on heating.
Results provide evidence of sintered clay technology in Levant prior to ceramic Neolithic.
