The maximum desalination rate in the RO concentrate was 86 ± 7% in the MEDCC. The minimum and maximum pH could reach 1.08 ± 0.06 and 12.2 ± 0.10, respectively. The bioenergy provided 37%–61% of the total energy consumption in the MEDCC.
