MCF-7 was more sensitive to Ce6-PDT than MCF-7/ADR under the same conditions. Higher ROS production and more serious DNA damage were observed in MCF-7 than MCF-7/ADR cells after Ce6-PDT treatment. Ce6-PDT triggered apoptotic response in MCF-7 cells, but induced autophagic response in MCF-7/ADR cells.
