Silica is anchored on graphene oxide sheets which benefits from synergistic effect of APTS and GPTS.

The SiO2–GO (1:5) sheet hybrids have fine dispersion in the epoxy resin.

The incorporation of SiO2–GO hybrids significantly enhances corrosion resistance of epoxy coatings.
