High aspect ratio Ni NWs with the diameter less than 100 nm were synthesized. The variation of the sizes and morphologies of Ni NWs were investigated. An empirical model has been proposed for the diameter variation of Ni NWs. The variation of Hc of Ni NWs as a function of aspect ratio was investigated.
