Three crystalline adducts of potassium fluorenides with 18-crown-6 have been synthesized. Three different potassium-fluorenide coordination modes have been found. Compound KC13H9(18-crown-6)·2THF (2) contains a free fluorenide anion. Compound K(9-Me3SiC13H8)(18-crown-6) (3) comprises agostic methyl interactions.
