Nitrogen-doped&SnO2-incoportaed TiO2 nanofibers as novel and effective photoanode for enhanced efficiency dye-sensitized solar cells

N@SnO2/TiO2 NFs were introduced by combination between two different methods; electrospinning and hydrothermal treatment.

The synthesized nanofibers reveal distinct performance as photoanode in DSC.

The solar efficiency is affected by N-doping and increased from 3.41% for SnO2/TiO2 to 5.01% for N@SnO2/TiO2 NFs.

High dye loading was observed based on N@SnO2/TiO2 nanofibers; 2.139 × 10−7 mol·cm−2.

SnO2 content should be optimized; 10% is the best.
