Operation of an emerging brushless doubly-fed reluctance wind generator emulated. A novel fully machine parameter independent hysteresis control algorithm proposed. Rotor position and speed knowledge not required for the control implementation. Real and reactive power control experimentally validated on a generator prototype. Robust response demonstrated under various speed, load and power factor conditions.
