Resolving the complex relationship between harmful algal blooms and environmental factors in the coastal waters adjacent to the Changjiang River estuary
East China Sea (ECS) is a notable region for harmful algal blooms (HABs) in China. Relationship between environmental factors and HABs in ECS were analyzed. Factors affecting blooms of diatoms and dinoflagellates were identified. It's found that Changjiang diluted water is important for the diatom bloom. Taiwan warm current is more critical for the maintenance of dinoflagellate bloom.
