A novel ES-FEM-DtN model is proposed for acoustic scattering problems. The gradient smoothing technique is employed in the present approach. For 2D exterior acoustic problems, ES-FEM is more accurate compared to FEM. The scattering physical model has been presented for the multi-object scattering.
