Synthesis of homobimetallic ruthenium hydride complexes bearing N-heterocyclic carbene. Bridging bipyridyl based ligand in the homobimetallic complexes is labile. Protonation of these complexes resulted in the corresponding dihydrogen complexes. First examples of homobimetallic dihydrogen complexes bearing NHC ligands.
