Streptozotocin inhibits synaptic transmission and edaravone attenuates streptozotocin-induced electrophysiological changes in CA1 pyramidal neurons of rat hippocampal slices
The acute and chronic effects of streptozotocin on excitatory and inhibitotary synaptic transmission in CA1 pyramidal neurons of rat hippocampal slices were tested. Streptozotocin decreased the frequencies and amplitudes in postsynaptic currents. Edaravone attenuated these streptozotocin-induced changes in synaptic transmission.
