Carbon-supported PtRh, PtRu, PtCu, and PtSn nanoparticles were synthesized. Obtained structure varied with counterpart metal. The critical factors in determining the nanoparticle structure is revealed. Formation mechanism of nanoparticles using radiation chemical method is discussed.
