The shear rate near the blade of Fullzone (FZ) was more uniform than that of the double Rushton turbine (DRT). The bigger pellet diameter when FZ was used instead of the DRT. Enzyme activity of Aspergillus oryzae was higher than the DRT during agitation with FZ. Maximum shear stress of DRT impeller was higher than the FZ at the same power input.
