The first quantitative meta-analysis to explore the correlations between homocysteine, vitamin B12, folate and cognitive function of PD. Hyperhomocysteine is associated with PD. PD patients with cognitive dysfunction are likely to have higher homocysteine level, lower vitamin B12 and folate levels. By lowering homocysteine, maybe we can provide hopeful treatment to improve cognitive disorders of PD.
