The sound development of tourism brings broad market demand to budget hotels in China. There are a series of problems in the competition of Chinese budget hotel, such as the lack of brand characteristics, apparent homogeneity. Differentiation strategy will help to foster customers?loyalty, promote the non-price product competition of budget hotels, reduce the hotel's marketing costs, and improve core competitiveness of the hotel. New segmental markets must be explored positively to implement different strategy, to reflect the core values of budget hotels by the differentiation concept, product differentiation, service differentiation and brand differentiation, to set up a unique personality of budget hotels, to enhance the cost performance of budget hotel; ultimately the core competitiveness will be formed.
