A 4.5% optical efficiency increase is achieved by the new CRRH optic. Temperatures as high as 226.3 °C were measured at the focusing area. The 3D printed support melted at 2–3° of misalignment due to the focused light. The lightweight plastic primary reflector was validated for experimental use.
