A homogenization scheme for coupled bulk and interface dissipation is presented. Reduced bases are used for the internal variables and for the displacement jump. The effective mechanical behavior is obtained from a variational principle. A systematic validation strategy shows the predictivity of the reduced order model. Rate-dependence and size effect of the effective material response are discussed.
