The applicability of holographic scattering as an effective strategy in determining photochemical kinetics parameters is investigated in PQ-PMMA photopolymer. The temporal evolution of parasitic grating formation is measured and the attachment rate parameters are obtained. Two kinetics parameters, quantum yield 桅 and molar-absorption coefficient 蔚, are extracted by nonlinear fitting the curves of attachment rate parameters as a function of thickness. Considering the photobleaching of photosensitizer, the holographic scattering strategy is modified and the corresponding kinetic parameters are obtained 蔚=2.4脳103 cm2/mol, 桅=1.6脳10鈭? mol/einstein at 532 nm, respectively. Finally the comparing parameters鈥?results by several methods are presented. The reasonable parameters鈥?results improve the understanding of photochemical response and bring about the theoretical foundation for describe the holographic grating formation.
