Viscoplastic behavior of MC2 alloy is characterized under dynamic compression tests. A Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar setup has been used under high-temperature condition. The effects of temperature (25, 750 and 1000 °C) and crystal orientation (〈1 0 0〉, 〈1 1 0〉 and 〈1 1 1〉) under high strain rate compression (up to 610s−1) have been identified. An efficient model is proposed to perform blade-off simulations in turbine engine. Comparison between simulation and experiment for a plate-impact show good agreement in terms of residual deflection (difference of less than 10%) and strain fields.
