A receding horizon D-optimization approach for model identification-oriented input design and application in combustion engines

A new formulation of receding horizon D-optimization is proposed. The D-optimization problem is solved recursively by using the estimated parameter. The D-optimization algorithm is constructed with the Continuation/GMRES method. A practical application for a full-scale engine test bench is demonstrated. The mean-value model is identified by the proposed algorithm.
