The rate of 30-day readmission after PCI has been reported between 4.7% and 15.6%. The rate is highly influenced by the cohort and the healthcare system studied. Majority of readmissions within 30 days are cardiac related. There are many predictors of readmission following PCI. It is unclear whether targeting patients with predictors could reduce readmissions.
