Effect of pressure on the yield of extraction is much more than temperature. The best extraction yield was found at 400 bar and 55 °C (115.43 μg/g dry algae). The highest caroten./chlorophylls ratio (11.09) was obtained at 300 bar and 30 °C. The highest carotenoids recovery with SC-CO2 extraction was 47% of the solvent extraction.
