An online pre-enrichment scheme with HPLC-MS/MS detection was devised for allergens detection. Different streamlined pretreatment procedures were tested and compared. Size exclusion chromatography combined with online SPE and HPLC-MS/MS was the best strategy. The devised approach allowed to reach very challenging LODs and LOQs lower than 0.25 μg/mL.
