HPLC–MS/MS and HPLC-QTOF-MS methods were developed to investigate isoflavonoids.

Structural characterization was based on aglycone fragmentation and NMR experiments.

Three novel isoflavonoids and their derivatives were found in restharrow root.

Fragmentation pathways for sativanone and onogenin are presented.

34 isoflavonoid derivatives were identified.
