In this works, we investigated the behavior of S-containing compounds from durian wastes in liquid and solid phases after the hydrothermal gasification, using ICP-OES and an HPLC-SEC/TOF-MS. Ion chromatography and XRD analysis were also done to support the finding. The results suggest that the organo sulfur compounds were degraded into inorganic species and remaining in liquid and solid state. The decomposition process was increased by the addition of Ca(OH)₂ as an alkali reagent.
