Botryosphaeran was not cytotoxic in V79 and HTC cell lines. Botryosphaeran is not mutagenic nor genotoxic to V79 and HTC cell lines. Botryosphaeran protected V79 and HTC cell lines against DNA damage. Data obtained are important to validate botryosphaeran as a therapeutic agent.
