A convenient method for determination of quizalofop-p-ethyl based on the fluorescence quenching of eosin Y in the presence of Pd(II)

A convenient fluorescence method for determination of Quizalorfop-p-ethyl (Qpe) was proposed. To our knowledge, this is the first fluorescence method for determination of Qpe was reported. The new analytical method was more sensitive and had larger detection range compared with other methods. The interaction between Eosin Y (EY), Pd(II) and Qpe was investigated by fluorescence spectroscopy, resonance Rayleigh scattering(RRS) and UV–Vis absorption. We demonstrated that the formed ternary chelate result in fluorescence quenching and RRS enhancement. The fluorescence quenching mechanism was discussed by Stern–Volmer equation in different temperature. The results indicated that the probable quenching mechanism was static quenching rather than dynamic quenching.
