Permeability enhancement/hydraulic fracturing is introduced in a thermo-poroelastic framework.

A fracturing model is defined to calculate fracture size and aperture in all directions of space.

An anisotropic fracture-induced permeability tensor is calculated at each point in the computational grid.

The fully integrated framework of hydraulic fracturing in thermo-poroelasticity is coded using FOR- TRAN 90.

Circulation tests and thermal recovery from the geothermal reservoir of Soultz-sous-Forêts are sim-ulated.
