PVA-based hydrogel nanofibers can be easily prepared by electrospinning with post-cross-linking.

The diameter decreases as PVA > PVA/poly(γ-glutamic acid) > PVA/sodium alginate.

The pore size decreases as PVA > PVA/sodium alginate > PVA/poly(γ-glutamic acid).

Morphology of cell growth on PVA-based hydrogel electrospun fibers seems the same.

The PVA-based electrospun fibers can be used as scaffold for tissue engineering.
