Multi-channel diffusion model was applied to the study of measurement process of Argon carrier fusion method (ACF). The hydrogen remaining after measurement by ACF was measured by means of Vacuum hot extraction method (VHE). The ACF method was found to fail extracting more than 50% hydrogen from the aluminum alloy samples. The magnitude of the measurement errors by ACF depends on the initial activation energy distribution of hydrogen in the test metal.
