Sediment pore surface properties were significantly influenced by MWCNTs. MWCNTs changed increased the hydrophobicity of the sediments. MWCNTs increased SMX adsorption capacity, intensity, and heterogeneity. The aging processes reduced the effects of MWCNTs on sediment properties. Actions of NOM in sediments may be the aging mechanisms of MWCNTs.
