A variety of hempcrete mixes were formulated and investigated. The binder proportion was found to significantly affect the density and thermal properties of hempcrete. Hempcrete density was found to significantly influence the thermal conductivity. Analysis of a proposed hempcrete wall for Ontario shows that it performs well in different hygrothermal conditions without any issues. A hempcrete wall with a rain screen cladding system outperforms a hempcrete wall with stucco.
