A new molecular probe is presented: AOBH-DEHP. AOBH-DEHP is a protic ionic liquid. AOBH-DEHP has all the advantages of its chromophore, AOBH+ but soluble in most of the organic solvents. AOBH-DEHP is very promising for monitoring the properties of RMs formed in different non-polar solvents.
