Retigabine, ICA-069673 and ML213 reduced nociceptive reflexes to a similar extent.

ML213 showed a higher potency than the other compounds.

Unlike retigabine, ML213 and ICA-069673 affected non-nociceptive transmission.

Retigabine had nonspecific effects at high concentrations.

All effects of ICA-069673 and ML213 appear to be mediated specifically by Kv7 channels.
