Interconnected ruthenium nanoparticles/graphite oxide nanocatalyst (RuO2/GO) was successfully prepared. Physicochemical properties of RuO2/GO were investigated in detail. RuO2/GO showed an excellent catalytic activity toward imine synthesis. Reusability and heterogeneity of RuO2/GO were found to be excellent. Mechanism has been proposed for catalytic systems.
