Immunomagnetic separation was useful isolating samples from HIV-infected patients. The yield and purity of immune cell subsets derived from our protocol were optimal. Isolated immune subsets were not influenced by the origin of HIV + source. The proposed method allowed us to obtain an optimal RIN score to perform subsequent RNA studies.
